ASL Interpretation

The SDRC provides sign language interpretation to students who qualify. This service includes interpretation for classes, study groups, advising, lectures, theater performances, and other Florida State sponsored activities. The interpreter will accommodate the needs of deaf/hard of hearing individuals with respect to their preferred mode of communication.

To arrange for an interpreter, please visit the Interpreter Request site, fill out the online form, and submit it at least a week prior to the event. You will be contacted to follow up on your request.

For student and public access, a Video Phone (VP) is located in “The Cave” inside of The Goldstein Library. See the front desk to sign out the remote. You will need your FSUID or valid photo ID. This equipment is for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals using American Sign Language only to make accessible phone calls.
