Student Rights and Responsibilities

The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities is a component of the Florida State University Dean of Students Department and the Division of Student Affairs. The office is responsible for educating students about their rights and responsibilities as members of the FSU community, upholding community behavioral standards, and implementing the Student Conduct Code.

What is a Student Conduct Board?
Student Conduct Board is a group of individuals from the Florida State student community tasked with both upholding our community standards and student conduct code. Conduct Board holds their peers accountable to these standards, by working as a component of the student conduct process.

Why Should I Apply?
Student conduct board is a unique opportunity to serve our community. By being a member you will: receive trainings on the donduct porcess start to finish, experience leadership and professional development growth, and be exposed to the inner workings of Florida State University.

The application consists of four short-answer questions and a resume. You must have at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible to serve on the board. A letter of reference is NOT required.
