News & Announcements
The Student Disability Resource Center has some incredible opportunities coming up to support you this Fall semester at Florida State University. While some of these opportunities are limited to first year students, some are open to all students regardless of where you are in your studies! We encourage you to take advantage of these ways to engage with the office and support your success here at FSU!
During the days leading up to the start of the semester, campus comes to life with Welcome FSU, FSU's welcome week. Your student is invited to attend a wide variety of events designed to welcome them and assist with their transition to life in Tallahassee. This is a great opportunity for you to encourage your student to meet new people and explore their new home. Also, remind them about all of the free stuff (apparel, food, coupons, etc.) that they can get at these events!
In the event of inclement weather, it's always a good idea to be prepared! At FSU, we strive to keep students and their families informed and connected whether there's a severe thunderstorm predicted or a hurricane in our forecast. We would like to share some basic items to keep on hand and some key communications outlets to monitor in the event of inclement weather.
We encourage students to assemble to following items:
All vehicles will need a physical parking permit in the vehicle at all times throughout orientation.
Please refer to the Orientation app available by downloading the MyFSU Mobile app from the Apple or Google Play stores. The app includes helpful information regarding parking and transportation, as well as the bus routes, times, and stops during orientation.
