Dean of Students

Florida State University

Orientation Leaders

Being a new ‘Nole is an incredible honor. In order to assist incoming students with their transition and achieve academic success, Florida State University selects 44 current undergraduate students to serve as Orientation Leaders each year. These students mentor new ‘Noles in academics, student involvement, FSU history and traditions, and community expectations. Orientation Leaders take on the responsibility of welcoming over 8,000 students and 10,000 family members annually into the FSU family and showing them what it means to live the Seminole Creed.

The Dean of Student Department supports an inclusive academic environment through education, empowerment, crisis management, and advocacy of students in collaboration with campus and community partners.

We welcome students and family members to connect with the Dean of Students Department if you are experiencing a crisis or just need someone to talk through a problem or experience you are having at Florida State University.
