Orientation Parking

First Time in College/Lower Division Transfer Summer/Fall Admit Orientation Parking Information

Please review and follow the parking guidelines provided below. It is the responsibility of the driver to locate a legal parking space. Failure to do so will result in the issuance of a parking citation. After 8:15 am each morning, most of the central parking lots (including the garages) are full. Spaces are usually available in the perimeter lots. We offer FREE bus service on campus and encourage you to utilize this transportation service. The Renegade Route serves the majority of FSU's main campus. 

  • For orientation, we encourage you to park in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center Parking Lot (505 W. Pensacola St.). However, other lots and garages are available, if needed/preferred. 
  • Parking is allowed in student parking spots only (denoted by “W” signage or white painted stall lines). 
  • DO NOT park in Faculty/Staff “R” spaces (denoted by signage or red painted stall lines). 
  • DO NOT park in fire lanes, reserved spaces, service areas, non-designated areas (yellow curbs, access lanes, lawns, landscape or sidewalks). 
  • Vehicles parked in violation of University parking rules will be cited and/or towed. 
  • Download your Orientation Parking Permit below. Please print and display your permit in your vehicle at all times during Orientation to avoid a ticket. 
  • If you receive a citation and would like to appeal the violation, please follow the appeals instructions on the envelope. New Student & Family Programs is not responsible for or able to assist in this process. 
  • Please make sure to share this e-mail/information with all parties participating in Orientation with you. 
  • After you register for classes, you can obtain your virtual parking permit for the school year at https://transportation.fsu.edu/parking/parking-permits.
