Connecting Families to Each Other

Throughout the year, Family Connection hosts, co–sponsors or endorses several events and programs that allow families to engage with one another, reunite with their student, cheer on the ‘Noles and/or learn more about Florida State University!

Seminole Send–Off Events

Seminole Send Off

Each summer, incoming Florida State students are invited to attend a Seminole Send–Off hosted by your local Seminole Club or Chapter. Seminole Clubs are an extension of the FSU Alumni Association. These events are a great way to learn about life at Florida State and meet other FSU students from your area.

Seminole Clubs and Chapters typically host a Seminole Send-Off in May or June. We encourage you and your student to participate as we celebrate their admission to Florida State, prepare for the fall semester and welcome them to the FSU community!

Parents' WeekendParents’ Weekend is that special time in fall when families can get better acquainted with the Florida State University campus and enjoy the experience with their student. We invite you to take part in the many exciting events we have planned for this annual event. Check out the Parents’ Weekend website for more information. Information will be updated and added as the event gets closer.

Parents’ Weekend registration opens on Monday, May 22, 2017.

FSU Family Connection would like to invite you to participate in the 7th Annual Garnet and Gold Fall Auction! This event is a silent auction during Parents’ Weekend 2017 where you will have the opportunity to bid on prizes for you and your student! All proceeds go to the FSU Family Fund, which supports valuable student services at Florida State. The auction will take place on Friday, November 3rd from 12pm–4pm in the Art Gallery located in Krentzman Lounge in Oglesby Student Union. Auction items include special deals at local shops and restaurants, leisure and recreational packages, themed gift baskets, signed FSU memorabilia and much, much more! Family Connection representatives will also be around to answer questions, hand out refreshments, collect donations and sign up families to the Family Connection program.

We hope that you take advantage of this exciting opportunity to show your school spirit and support the FSU Family Fund! We can’t wait to see you there!
